Santa Cruz County to Carry Out 'Emergency Repairs' on Pajaro River Levee System Following Intense Rainfall

Santa Cruz County said it would carry out emergency repairs on the Pajaro River levee system after a series of atmospheric rivers brought intense rainfall to California, according to local news reports.

Footage posted to Twitter by Luis Alejo, the Monterey County supervisor, shows greenery submerged by the swollen Pajaro River in Watsonville, California. Alejo urged residents of Pajaro and Watsonville to stay on high alert.
