Sandra Ma is ready to return after depression
9 Aug - After much speculations about her absence from showbiz, Sandra Ma recently took to social media to share her update with fans.
The actress, who hasn't been seen much since she starred alongside Zhao Dongyu in "Soul Mate," recently revealed that she actually had been struggling with chronic depression, and had to take a year's break to recuperate.
"My health is much better, and I am about to return to the screen. I hope I will live up to expectations and I am a little nervous," she said.
It is noted that prior to her statement, there were rumours that Sandra has been dating Penicillin vocalist Zhang Zhexuan and is pregnant with her first child. Many accused the actress of no longer caring about her career.
In response to that, Sandra stated that those who know her would know that she had to take some time off not because she doesn't love her career or that she was too focused on her love life, but that her body would not allow it.
"But I am getting better and better and I will return. I am in a good state of mind now, and I will arrange public appearances in the future," she added.
