San Diego County Opens New COVID-19 Vaccination Sites

California’s San Diego County opened two new COVID-19 vaccine distribution sites for healthcare workers and people aged 65 and up on Sunday, January 24, in Oceanside and National City.

The site openings come in the wake of a new record high of 79 COVID deaths in the county on January 21, and 2,847 new positive cases, according to county officials.

California, the most populous US state, confirmed nearly 3.1 million cases of COVID-19 and 36,361 deaths as of January 23.
