Sam Lin admits to breakup with Joyce Chu

31 Oct – Taiwanese singer Sam Lin recently admitted that he and Malaysian singer Joyce Chu have already called it quits on their relationship for a while now.

The SpeXial member, who had been dating the singer since 2018, shared as much during the premiere of his new series on 28 October, saying that the two parties are now "working hard individually" and that he is focusing on his film right now.

After much prodding, Sam admitted that he and Joyce made a mutual decision to break up sometime in the second half of 2021, and that they haven't even seen each other for about two years.

Asked if it was the long distance that became the catalyst for their breakup, Sam said, "No, it's just that we have our own goals."

As for whether there is a possibility of them reconciling, Sam, who admitted to still be friends with Joyce, said, "I don't know."

"It's okay. That is life. The most important thing is to let go," he added.
