In the realm of street food, gyros rank pretty high up there on the list of meals that always hit. You really can't go wrong with a warm pita, hot meat, and that creamy Tzatziki sauce that will most certainly get everywhere. So when Kronos, the Mediterranean food supplier that has distributed gyro to restaurants for decades, started selling their meat in grocery stores, it was most definitely a win. No Halal cart nearby? Here's how you DIY.

Sam's Club started carrying 2-pound boxes of Kronos' beef and lamb slices in select stores just before the holidays last year. They were so popular, the store decided to add them to all club locations for the month of January. After tons of positive feedback from customers, they've since decided to keep the boxes in stock year round.

Each $14 box comes with two one-pound pouches of the spicy seasoned meat. The slices are fully cooked-the meat is flame broiled and basted in its own juices, then sliced when it reaches the perfect temperature and immediately frozen-and can be heated up on the stove top, in the oven, or in the microwave.

Sam's shoppers are obsessed-look through the product's reviews and you'll find people imploring the store to keep carrying 'em. Comments also include ideas for what to do with the meat; aside from building your own street-style gyro at home, you can put the meat in a salad, layer it on mac and cheese, or use it in spaghetti sauce.
