Rylee Arnold Confirms Her Relationship Status amid Internet Speculation: 'I Love Being Single' (Exclusive)
"I've been single for a while, but I love it," Arnold told PEOPLE at the season 33 premiere of 'Dancing with the Stars'
Rylee Arnold is clearing up her relationship status.
The Dancing with the Stars pro spoke to PEOPLE at the season 33 premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 17, where she opened up about her dating life.
Revealing she is not currently in a relationship amid internet speculation she reunited with her boyfriend who had been on a Mormon mission for two years, Arnold, 19, said she is enjoying the single life.
“I am not back with him. I am currently single right now,” she revealed. “[It’s] so fun. I love it. I love being single. It's the best. I've been single for a while, but I love it.”
Last season, which was Arnold's first on DWTS, she sparked romance rumors with her partner-at-the-time, Too Hot to Handle star, Harry Jowsey. Fans wondered if the two were dating after the two were spotted spending a lot of time together and appeared to have great chemistry.
“I think that it's a little bit unfair on Rylee so early on,” Jowsey told PEOPLE of the rumors in October. “She's so green to this whole world and everyone having an opinion, and stuff like that.”
The pair later fueled more speculation when they appeared to share an on-screen kiss during a dance to Taylor Swift’s “August" in their final performance together.
“He's just such a special person. I love that people are getting to see a side of him that he hasn't shown,” Arnold told PEOPLE after that dance. “He's so special and kind and genuine and just the best.”
Arnold and Jowsey, 27, maintained that they were just friends, and after the reality star was eliminated, Arnold said she hoped they remained close.
“I hope we stay friends because our relationship is so fun and we really just connected a lot,” she said during an appearance on the Lightweights Podcast in November. “When you’re in the show, the person and the partner you’re with, you just build this connection because you got through so much together — stress and anxiety. I think we really bonded and had a good time together.”

This season, Arnold is paired with Olympian Stephen Nedoroscik, also known as “Pommel Horse Guy,” and the two performed a Jive to “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen. Finishing with a 21/30, he told PEOPLE he is looking forward to growing his dance skills.
“It was so fun, and Rylee has just been such a good coach the past couple of weeks,” he gushed. “She's been the absolute greatest. And three weeks ago I literally didn't know any dance. I didn't know what a Jive was. What I was able to perform tonight was literally all Rylee, and I just think we made a great team.”
His Olympic abilities can only get him so far, Nedoroscik said, so at the end of the day, he has been ready to rest with his iconic Orange cat, Kyushu.
“I've been so exhausted after workouts, I get home and the only thing I really want to do is lie down, take my cat, put him on my chest and hug him,” he laughed.
