Rylan Clark-Neal says Supermarket Sweep series 2 is coming "very soon" to ITV
Weeks after confirming that Supermarket Sweep will be back for a second series, host Rylan Clark-Neal has offered a new update.
Taking to his Twitter account, the presenter appeared to reveal that filming had finished on the new batch of episodes.
And even more excitingly, it's coming "VERY soon". Well, we do need a bit of escapism in these weird times, after all.
"And just like that. We finished sweeping," he tweeted. "Thank you team @SuperSweepTV 2020. Coming VERY soon to @ITV X".
Supermarket Sweep, which was revived last year on ITV2, is set to move to main channel ITV for series two – with a much-coveted daytime slot to boot.
Tweeting earlier this month, Rylan said he was back to filming while also wishing his US counterpart, Leslie Jones, well for the version over the pond.
"First day back at #SupermarketSweep tomorrow, lovely to be back in the store," he wrote. "Sending well wishes to @Lesdoggg for Sweep USA . Hope you have as much fun in the aisles as we do! Season 2 let's be having ya!"

In other Rylan news, the presenter recently appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox alongside his mum, who has become a fan favourite.
However, it is unlikely that they'll get their own show, Rylan explaining earlier this year to the Daily Star: "We've been offered hundreds of things.
"We got asked to do a travel show and the chance to go here and go there. It would be hilarious, but she's just not well enough to do it."
