Rylan Clark denies he's wanted by police after 'lookalike' e-fit released by authorities
Rylan Clark has hilariously insisted he’s not wanted by police after after an e-fit baring uncanny resemblance to him went viral on social media.
On Tuesday, the BBC Radio 2 star took to X, formerly Twitter, to reshare a post from Kent Police, which featured a computer generated image of a man they would like to identify in connection with a robbery.
In the image, the wanted individual sported a perfectly groomed beard and dark brown coiff much like Clark’s.
Captioning the social media post, the constabulary said: “Officers investigating a report of attempted robbery in #Maidstone have released a computer generated image of a man they would like to identify.”
The former X Factor star, 35, couldn’t help but make light of his likeness to the image and cheekily replied to the post: "Wasn't me".

However, his fans joked they weren't so sure with one commenting: “Are you sure?”
“Looks like a mix between you and Simon Cowell”, another joked. A third added: “That’s exactly what he would say though”.
A fourth teased: “Want to believe you, I really do, but without seeing the teeth how can we REALLY be sure?”
Elsewhere, it was announced on Monday that Clark will return to helm BBC’s coverage of the Eurovision final.
Irish TV star Graham Norton will commentate on the song contest for BBC One and iPlayer while radio DJs Clark and Scott Mills will oversee coverage on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds when the acts take to the stage at Malmo Arena in Sweden on May 11.
Years & Years singer Olly Alexander is to represent the UK in the international song competition with his dance-infused track Dizzy.
Sweden is hosting the 68th edition of the competition after its entry last year, Loreen, won in Liverpool with her track Tattoo.
This year’s event coincides with the 50-year anniversary of Swedish group Abba winning the competition in 1974 with Waterloo.
The competition will see 37 countries compete to be crowned the winners, starting with two semi-finals that will be broadcast live on Tuesday May 7 and Thursday May 9.
Mills and Clark will provide the commentary on BBC One and BBC iPlayer for the semi-final shows, while broadcaster Richie Anderson will be leading the commentary for the first time on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds.
