Ryan Breaux, the 18-year-old brother of musician Frank Ocean, has reportedly been killed in a car crash.
According to reports, Breaux was an occupant of a Tesla car that veered off Westlake Boulevard in Thousand Oaks, California in the early hours of Sunday morning (2 August).
Breaux, along with a fellow occupant, were pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department arrived at the crash site to find the car in flames.
An initial investigation has suggested the car swerved off road and hit a tree.
While Breaux’s death has yet to be officially confirmed, a number of friends have posted messages of remembrance to his Instagram.
The high schooler last posted on the platform on 25 July.
“You gave us all love and laughter brother,” wrote Brandon Thomas Lee, son of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee. “Love you forever. I hope I get to see you again one day.”
Musician Tre Samuels wrote: “I’m lost for words. Sending you my love bro.”
Paris Brosnan, the model son of Pierce Brosnan, wrote a long tribute to Breaux on his own Instagram.
“To my brother, who was talented beyond belief, possessed a heart of gold, had an energy that was infectious, a smile & laugh that lifted everyone’s spirit, and was a loyal and authentic friend to anyone he knew,” Brosnan wrote. “You were just getting started and ready to show the world who you were.”
