“The Russian forces are focused on breaking through the Ukrainian defenses and launching an attack on the towns of Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, and Selydove in Donetsk Oblast,” the spokesperson for the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Troop Grouping, Nazar Voloshyn, said on national TV on June 6.

The area near Netaylove is “experiencing high level of enemy activity,” indicating their intention to reach Kurakhove and Pokrovsk in order to launch an offensive west of Avdiivka and Maryinka, he said, adding that the enemy is “rushing” to the Pokrovsk-Kostyantynivka highway, which is a “vital route.”
