Russian shelling kills 3 civilians, injures 2 in Donetsk Oblast

Three civilians were killed and two others injured in a series of Russian strikes on Ukraine’s frontline Donetsk Oblast on May 4, regional Governor Vadym Filashkin reported on Telegram.

"Two people were killed in the city of Pokrovsk, and another in Druzhkivka. Two civilians were injured in the nearby town of Chasiv Yar," Filashkin said.

On May 4, the U.S.-based think tank Institute for the Study of War reported that Russian forces had advanced near Avdiivka, Donetsk Oblast, and Kupyansk, Kharkiv Oblast, continuing active assaults east of Chasiv Yar.
