Russian Missiles Strike Central Vinnytsia, Ukraine Military Says

Three missiles fired by Russian forces struck a business district in central Vinnytsia, Ukraine’s ministry of defense said on July 14.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine said at least 12 people were confirmed dead and more than two dozen injured.

This was an increase in an initial casualty report from the Ukrainian national police, which said at least one child was among the dead.

The defense ministry’s video shows heavy smoke pouring from the area around the House of Officers and Peremohy Square. A man in Ukrainian military garb is seen running down the street. Ambulances and fire trucks can be seen. The square appears heavily damaged. Credit: Defence of Ukraine via Storyful
