Russian couple weds on plane

The wedding took place on board of a plane flying to Moscow from another Russian city of Kaluga, 160 kilometres southwest of the capital.

A cabin crew member pronounced Timofey and Aida husband and wife and the newlyweds exchanged rings.

The flight dedicated to Valentine's Day was organized by the S7 Airlines and a flight search service Aviasales. They raffled off 27 pairs of tickets for couples who wanted to have a date at a height. Timofey and Aida were among the winners.

Aida said they wanted to avoid a routine ceremony within the walls of the registry office while planning their wedding. The couple decided to take part in the raffle and get marry on board if they win the tickets. And they were lucky enough.

Despite the delay of the flight due to the snowstorm, everything went great, Aida said.
