In the last battle, where the queens had lip sync to Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance,” it was Alyssa Edwards that was ultimately crowned the winner and took the $200,000 cash prize.
“All of the queens that competed on the first ever Global All Stars blew me away,” RuPaul said. “But, in the end, it was Alyssa Edwards, the queen from Mesquite, Texas, that showed me and the world what sickening, gagworthy, and drop-dead gorgeous drag is all about.”
During the finale, the top four queens sat down with host RuPaul and resident judge Michelle Visage for an emotional Tic Tac chat, reflecting on their journeys throughout the season and what it means to represent their countries on a global stage. The finalists were also challenged to write, record, and star in the “Dance Like the World is Watching” music video with help from Emmy-nominated choreographer and judge, Jamal Sims.
