RSG unveil Malaysian Mobile Legends: Bang Bang team

RSG have acquired a Malaysian Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) team comprised of players from the former Team Saiyan and Team Bosskur, the Singapore-based organisation announced on Monday (14 December).

RSG’s new Malaysian MLBB roster is comprised of original Team Saiyan players Rush and Logan (who also previously played under Team Bosskurr), as well as former Team Bosskurr players Kaizer, Leixia, and Zaraki.

Team Saiyan has been active in the MLBB scene since 2017, notably qualifying for the first MLBB Southeast Asian Cup that year and competing in the inaugural season of the MLBB Pro League (MPL) for Malaysia and Singapore in 2018 with a roster that included long-time members Rush and Logan.

The team, originally sponsored by AirAsia, then found a new sponsor in Shoppee, and rebranded as Shoppee Bosskurr, or Team Bosskurr in later MPL seasons.

Rush, Logan, Leixia and Zaraki played together as part of Team Bosskurr’s MPL S5 team, while Kaizer was in their S6 line-up.

RSG first teased their new acquisition back on 4 December, revealing that they had picked up another MLBB squad to pair with their existing Singaporean MLBB team.

The organisation’s Singaporean MLBB team is one of the 12 participants in the upcoming M2 World Championship in January, with the squad being drawn to Group A for the event’s group stage.

RSG have been busy tinkering with their esports teams since the rebrand from Resurgence last month, notably dropping two players from their PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile roster prior to their acquisition of the new Malaysian MLBB team.

RSG have not yet announced any definite plans for their Singaporean and Malaysian MLBB rosters, and any further moves regarding their squads are expected to be made after the conclusion of the M2 World Championship.
