Rozita Che Wan declines offer to play Remy Ishak's mother

29 Nov – Rozita Che Wan recently admitted that she had to say no to an offer to play the role of a mother in a new television series because of who her son would be played by in the said project.

Speaking in an interview recently, the 48-year-old Rozita, known to fans as Che Ta, stated that she was offered to play mum to Remy Ishak for a 40-episode drama, despite the actor being only nine years younger than her.

"I never had any issue playing a mother in a TV show. It's not a big deal. But at least be more rational. Remy is too matured to play my son in a drama. Make it make sense," she said.

Rozita is no stranger when it comes to collaborating with Remy, having even played his love interest before. However, while the actress has played mothers before, the actor is still sought for lead roles and is sometimes partnered up with much younger co-stars.

On the other hand, the actress recently played the character of a detective in the Zeel Production series, "Tahyul".
