The Royal Household published annual financial statement
The Royal Household has published its annual financial statement for 2020-21 revealing how much money it received from the UK Government and how it was spent. The Royal Household received 85.9 million pounds from the Sovereign Grant, which helps fund official travel, property maintenance, and operating costs of The Queen’s household and the reservicing of Buckingham Palace. Although they actually spent 87.5 million pounds due to the cost of refurbishing the iconic palace. The reservicing of Buckingham Palace included replacing the roof in the Picture Gallery while it was empty due to the Covid pandemic and renovating the East Wing. .
