Royal Fans Camp Out in London Days Before Coronation

Supporters of the UK’s royal family could be seen camping out on the Mall in London on Wednesday, May 3, three days before the coronation of King Charles III.

Footage recorded by Amir Moein shows several tents near Buckingham Palace.

The King and Queen consort will be escorted by a ceremonial charge from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey for the coronation service on Saturday at 11 am.

The couple will follow the same route back to the palace on Saturday afternoon.

Viewing areas along the route, which includes the Mall, will open at 6 am on Saturday, though London media reported that “royal superfans” had already started camping out last weekend, six days before the event. Credit: Amir Moein via Storyful
