A royal fan is already camping ahead of coronation
STORY: Among the most dedicated is John Loughrey, who has set up camp on the pavement across the road from the famous palace equipped with a camp bed, and intends to remain there all week to ensure a good view of events on Saturday (May 6).
"We can't wait to see them coming down the Mall in their gold coach, and we'll be all cheering doing the Mexican wave in red white and blue, and we'll be cheering 'God save the King and his Queen'. And we will be all excited," he told Reuters.
The former chef is a veteran of camping out at various major royal events over the years.
King Charles' coronation will include an invitation to the public to swear allegiance to the monarch and to his heirs and successors, the Archbishop of Canterbury's office said.
