On Wednesday’s “The Daily Show,” correspondent Ronny Chieng came out to comment on the drama between the Chinese government and a slew of American businesses with statement hiding subservience behind a fake show of bravery.

First, host Trevor Noah discussed at length the conflict between China and the NBA, which started after Daryl Morey, general manager of the Houston Rockets, tweeted in support of Hong Kong pro-democracy protesters, leading the NBA to apologize for offending China. After running it all down, Noah brought Chieng, the show’s “senior NBA correspondent” to talk about it.

“Trevor, this whole thing is more disappointing than every meal I’ve had at P.F. Chang’s,” Chieng began. “Quite frankly, I’m shocked at how these American companies have behave. It’s complete bulls—, and they should be ashamed of themselves.”

Noah praised Chieng for having the guts to criticize China so directly, to which Chieng replied that he wanted to address China directly. He then turned to the camera and in Chinese gave remarks that sounded aggressive until you see the translation..

“China, don’t pay attention to these American idiots. They are weak cowards, and their country smells like Chicken Nuggets,” Chieng said. “Getting America’s advice on governing is like getting a dog’s advice on fixing your wifi.”

The speech continued with Chieng continuing to denigrate the U.S. while Noah, who doesn’t speak Chinese, praised him for his bravery. It’s funny stuff, and you can watch the whole thing above.
