with Stones frontman Mick Jagger

(SOUNDBITE) (English) MUSICIAN, MICK JAGGER AND ACTOR, PAUL MESCAL, SAYING: This is your first music video I'm told."

MESCAL: "Kind of in at the deep end with that I think, straight in and not even kind of, like, just go straight in and start with a Rolling Stones music video. And best of luck. It's crazy. I loved the form of it. Yeah, I really enjoyed it."

The previously unreleased track "Scarlet"

is part of an expanded edition

of their 1973 album "Goats Head Soup"

which is set for release on September 4

(SOUNDBITE) (English) ACTOR, PAUL MESCAL AND MUSICIAN, MICK JAGGER SAYING:

MESCAL: "So when did you guys write "Scarlet" and how long have you been kind of sitting on that? And why have you chosen to release it now?"

JAGGER: "I mean, I remember doing it in many versions, like, well, I remember doing it with lots of different people and I don't remember doing this and I talked to Jimmy Page and he was like "oh, yeah, I remember it. We were sat in Ronnie Wood's recording basement. And it was these people…" and he remembered everything. I don't remember, I mean, I remember being there, that's all. So this is the version. And so it wasn't really a Rolling Stones record."
