Ava DuVernay is getting into animation with “Wings of Fire,” a Netflix animated event series based on the best-selling children’s book series by Tui T. Sutherland, the streaming service said Tuesday. Here’s the synopsis for the “Wings of Fire” TV series, which will consist of ten 40-minute episodes: “A bitter war has raged for generations between the dragon tribes who inhabit the epic world of Pyrrhia. According to prophecy, five young dragons will rise to end the bloodshed and bring peace back to the land. Dakota Johnson is set to star in “Persuasion,” based on the novel by Jane Austen, it was announced on Tuesday. Netflix and MRC Film have partnered on the film that will be directed by theater director Carrie Cracknell, who recently directed Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom Sturridge in “Sea Wall/A Life on Broadway.” “Persuasion” will be her feature film directorial debut. Ron Bass and Alice Victoria are writing the screenplay. Andrew Lazar and Christina Weiss Lurie are producing, while executive producers are Elizabeth Cantillon via her untitled MRC Film Romance label, Michael Constable and David Fliegel. The estate of rapper The Notorious B.I.G. has signed a management deal with WME and the agency’s recently launched Legends group to represent his estate and brand management. The agency partnered with Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace, and the family behind his estate. It is the latest to join a roster of other estates from artists such as Andy Kaufman, Eartha Kitt, Peter Tosh, the CBGB brand and Ram Dass’ Love Serve Remember Foundation, which were all recently announced. Produced by Hasbro’s Entertainment One (eOne) and Endemol Shine North America, the game show would feature contestants making snap judgements based on intuition and clues in an effort to win cash prizes in each episode. “Guess Who?” was first released by Hasbro in 1979 and has since become one of its most popular board games, and is sold in more than 28 countries around the world. In order to win the game, players must choose a card with a mystery character on it and try to guess each other’s characters using only yes-or-no questions to learn their physical features and figure out their identities.
