Rockstar Games Shares the First Trailer for 'Grand Theft Auto 6'

One of the most beloved series in all of gaming is Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto. Since 1997, the franchise has continued to release one smash hit after another. However, it's already been over a decade since Grand Theft Auto 5 first released and many still wondered when a Grand Theft Auto 6 would arrive. That is, until gameplay of the long-rumored game leaked last year. Months later, it was implied in earning reports that GTA6 would be arriving in 2025. Fast forward to December and after announcing the first trailer's arrival on December 5, the trailer leaked early, prompting Rockstar Games to publish the trailer early in response.

In the first 90 seconds of footage, there's plenty to enjoy. It's confirmed that Vice City will serve as the setting of the game with the series featuring its first female protagonist -- a woman named Lucia. The action-packed trailer is backed by Tom Petty's "Love Is A Long Road" and offers a glimpse at what to expect from the upcoming title.

Closing out the trailer, a Vice City-themed graphic notes that the game will be arriving in 2025. However, it has not yet been declared as to which platforms it will be available for. Stay tuned for updates as more news continues to arise.
