Robert Pattinson Recalls 'Very Sweet Moment' He Met Fiancée Suki Waterhouse at at a Starry House Party
"Suki and I kept making each other laugh, to the point where someone told us we weren't taking the game seriously enough," Pattinson told 'New York Times'

The actor recalled meeting his now-fiancée during a game of Werewolf at a house party back in 2018 — which was also attended by the likes of Al Pacino, Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz — in a recent interview with The New York Times, published Wednesday, Nov. 4.
“She was sitting opposite me,” said Pattinson, 38, of Waterhouse, 32, whom he got engaged to in December 2023 after five years of dating. They share one child: a daughter, born in March.
“Suki and I kept making each other laugh, to the point where someone told us we weren’t taking the game seriously enough," he continued of their first meeting. "That was a very, very sweet moment.”

Suki Waterhouse and Robert Pattinson in Pacific Palisades, California, on Oct. 5, 2024In a cover interview for British Vogue's August issue — where Waterhouse posed with her and Pattinson's baby daughter — the actress and singer gave rare insight into her personal life, including her love story with her now-fiancé.
“It was very, very intense,” she told the magazine of the Hollywood game night where she first met Pattinson in 2018. “There were lots of ‘big’ characters [there], real heavy-hitters. ... Al Pacino was there. Javier and Penélope were there … and, you know, everyone was really acting.”
“I was sure that I’d met him a long time ago, but he didn’t think that we had,” Waterhouse continued of Pattinson, adding that during the event, they “started giggling at the absurdity of the whole thing” to the point where they "got told off."
"There was a director that separated us because we were laughing too much," recalled the Daisy Jones & The Six star.

Waterhouse also noted that she thinks she and The Batman actor “both sort of have the same slight uncomfortable-ness” that drew them together.
As for her perception of her partner now, "I think Rob’s quite funny," she told British Vogue. "I light up when I’m around him.”
A source told PEOPLE in October that Waterhouse and Pattinson are enjoying their time together in Los Angeles and are “doing great."
"They are very much in love and happy,” the insider said. “They take turns working so one of them can always care for their daughter.”
“Rob's an amazing dad,” the source added. “They are both great parents and truly enjoy it. They travel together as a family and love to bring their daughter along.”
