Secretary-General of the RMT Mick Lynch tells reporters that strike action on the national railway network and London Underground planned for the upcoming week will go ahead. He says they have had an offer from Network Rail which they rejected on "Friday" and another from the train operating company which they rejected "this afternoon". Lynch explains the employers are not able to "negotiate freely" and that the "dead hand" of the government is all over the "dispute".
