Rita Rudaini denies inciting sons to hate their father
26 Mar – Rita Rudaini has recently denied claims by netizens that she had taught her sons to hate their biological father, footballer Aidil Zafuan.
The actress, who has two sons, Airit Rayyan Rizqin and Airit Qaqa Arjuna from her tumultuous marriage with the athlete, said that it was the boys themselves who have made the decision to not meet him. Their sons Rayyan and Arjuna are now 15 and 13.
"I asked Rayyan, what if his father wants to meet him? He said he doesn't want to. I can't force him to do the opposite. People shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Open your eyes and your heart," she said.
As for previous comments from netizens urging her to unite Aidil with his children, Rita said that people should be more sensitive and to respect her sons' wishes.
"They are happy not asking anything about him," she added.
Rita tied the knot with Aidil back in 2008, though the marriage ended in September 2013. Aidil then went on to marry wife, Zarema Zainal the year after.
