Rings of Power Rules Nielsen Streaming Top 10 With Season 2 Launch, KAOS Makes Chart Debut
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power once again rules Nielsen’s U.S. ranking of streaming originals.
For the week of August 26, the Prime Video fantasy saga, with the release of Season 2’s first three episodes, racked up 1.02 billion minutes viewed across 11 available episodes, to easily top the originals chart.

Netflix’s The Accident came in second with 891 million minutes viewed cross 10 episodes, followed by Netflix’s Worst Ex Ever (830 million minutes/four episodes), the chart debut of Netflix’s KAOS (511 million minutes/eight episodes) and, with the launch of Season 4, Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building (460 million minutes/31 available episodes).
Rounding out the Top 10 streaming originals for the week of August 26 were Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy, Hulu’s Futurama, Netflix’s Emily in Paris, Netflix’s Love Is Blind: UK, and Love Island (on Netflix, Peacock and Hulu).

Meanwhile on Nielsen’s overall Top 10 ranking, Prison Break was No. 1 for a fourth straight week, this time drawing 1.2 billion minutes viewed for its 90-episode library (on Hulu and Netflix). Rings of Power was No. 2, followed by Family Guy (Hulu), A Discovery of Witches (now streaming on Netflix) and The Accident.
