Rihanna is the undisputed queen of Met Gala fashion. Here are all the looks she's worn.
  • Rihanna has attended 10 Met Galas over the years, showing off her style each time.

  • In 2023, the Fenty Beauty mogul wore a custom Valentino gown with a coat made of flowers.

  • Here's a look at everything Rihanna has worn to fashion's biggest night since 2007.

After months of anticipation, the 2024 Met Gala has finally arrived.

Fans of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual gala — which raises money for its Costume Institute — were brimming with excitement as the first Monday in May approached, wondering which celebrities will attend the "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion" gala and how those in attendance will interpret "The Garden of Time" dress code.

Some celebrities' arrivals at the Met Gala have become hallmarks of the event, and arguably, no star's arrival is as exciting as Rihanna's, as she always makes a splash on the Met Gala red carpet.

The Fenty Beauty mogul and singer has attended 10 Met Galas throughout her career, wearing everything from elaborate gowns to a custom tuxedo.

Take a look back at all of her Met Gala fashion moments.

For her first Met Gala appearance in May 2007, the singer went with a relatively simple but pretty Georges Chakra gown.

The white gown had silver embellishments on the bodice.

She paired the dress with black mesh gloves and a red rose to fit the "Poiret: King of Fashion" theme. It was a subtle look for the then-rising star, who would soon amp up the stakes.

In May 2009, she went for a much bolder look — an over-the-top suit by Dolce & Gabbana.

The dramatics of the oversized shoulder pads worked wonderfully for the event's "The Model as Muse" theme, and it also paired perfectly with Rihanna's edgy pixie crop.

For May 2011's "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" theme, Rihanna wore a one-sleeved black lace gown by Stella McCartney.

The sem-sheer dress is eye-catching on its own, but her long, bright-red side-braid added a nice pop of color.

In May 2012, she proved that something as simple as an interesting texture can be enough to make a dress memorable.

She wore the Tom Ford design to the "Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations"-themed gala.

The dress appeared to be covered in scales and had long sleeves and a boat neckline.

May 2014's "Charles James: Beyond Fashion" theme saw the singer return to Stella McCartney.

Rihanna's two-piece had a long-sleeve crop top and a high-waisted skirt with a side train.

The silhouette may resemble a gown, but the backless crop top gave it a distinctly modern edge.

For May 2015's gala, Rihanna pulled out all the stops in an extravagant Guo Pei design for the "China: Through the Looking Glass" theme.

Her custom, yellow look sat off her shoulders, and it featured faux fur sleeves and trim. The dress was also covered in elaborate lace.

She gave us her most avant-garde look yet with a dress covered in giant floral embellishments in May 2017.

The Met Gala's theme that year was "Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between," and Rihanna appropriately went with a Comme des Garçons design.

She contrasted the multicolored dress, made entirely of colorful petals, with red heels that laced up her thighs.

For the 2018 Met Gala, Rihanna didn't disappoint with a Margiela ensemble that seemed to be inspired by the Pope.

She wore a high-low skirt, plenty of jewelry, and an attention-commanding headpiece that cemented her status as the undisputed queen of Met Gala fashion.

For the "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty" gala, Rihanna wore a custom Valentino Haute Couture gown.

The dress had a form-fitting bodice that showed off her baby bump with a rosette in the center. A dropped-waist skirt flowed into a long train.

Rihanna completed the ensemble with a hooded coat covered in oversized flowers, fingerless gloves, and sunglasses with eyelashes on them.
