While she’s established herself as an underwear designer, a make-up mogul and movie star, fans have been desperate for Rihanna to release new music.

The 32-year-old has not released a record since Anti in 2016, and while she previously teased her ninth studio album would have a heavy reggae influence, the long-awaited music is yet to arrive.

But fans have finally (sort of) had their prayers for new Rihanna music answered as the star features on rapper PARTYNEXTDOOR’s track Believe It, from his latest album.

The pair have a shared credit on the song, which sees Rihanna sings the chorus: “Best make me believe it/believe you won’t deceive me.”

Naturally, fans were over the moon to hear Rihanna’s dulcet tones once more, taking to Twitter to celebrate her return – particularly as we’re all stuck indoors thanks to the coronavirus outbreak.

However, others have confessed being a little disappointed that Rihanna only sings the chorus, admitting they were hoping for a full Rihanna track:

Rihanna previously featured on DJ Khaled’s 2017 summer hit Wild Thoughts, as well as Kendrick Lamar’s single Loyalty.

Fans who are desperate for more Rihanna music may not have too long to wait, as the singer previously explained she was working on a new album – but had to juggle it around her other commitments.

“I used to be in the studio, only the studio, for three months straight, and an album would come out,” she told Interview magazine in 2019. “Now, it’s like a carousel. I do fashion one day, lingerie the next, beauty the next, then music the next. It’s like having a bunch of kids and you need to take care of them all.”
