Rihanna has already donated over $5 millions to coronavirus relief organizations, but the singer isn't done helping those suffering due to the pandemic. Rihanna has partnered with Twitter founder and Square CEO Jack Dorsey to fund a $4.2 million grant designed to help domestic violence victims in Los Angeles, as the city remains under a shelter at home order.

Rihanna's Clara Lionel Foundation announced the news yesterday evening. "Today we're standing with those affected by the increased incidents of domestic violence as a result of the COVID-19 Safer at Home order in Los Angeles," the foundation wrote on its Twitter.

The grant will be part of the Mayor's Fund for Los Angeles. Dorsey and Rihanna have each committed $2.1 million toward it. The money "will be directed toward 10 weeks of expenses for shelter, meals and counseling for individuals and children suffering from domestic violence at a time when shelters are full and incidents are reportedly on the rise," according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Rihanna previously donated $5 million to coronavirus relief organizations, including Direct Relief, Feeding America, Partners in Health, The World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, the International Rescue Committee, and more. Her donation is also supporting local food banks serving at-risk communities and the elderly population in the U.S.

Days later, Rihanna got a shoutout from New York governor Andrew Cuomo for her additional donation of personal protective equipment to the state, which has the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the country so far. "I want to thank @rihanna and the Rihanna Foundation for donating Personal Protective Equipment to New York State," Cuomo wrote on Twitter. "We're so appreciative of your help and that of so many others who have stepped up."
