Gere serves as an executive producer for Wisdom of Happiness, which was co-directed by the Swiss duo Barbara Miller and Philip Delaquis.

“In this film, the Dalai Lama speaks directly to the audience and explains why the 21st century should become the century of compassion. The spiritual teacher manages to captivate us and touch our hearts – even those which have turned into stone from stress and the toughness of everyday life. A meditative cinematic experience that reverberates for a long time – with appealing imagery and unpublished material from archives of the Tibetan government,” a synopsis reads on the Zurich Film Festival’s website.

Just last month, Gere and Silva had yet another red carpet date night during the 81st Venice International Film Festival on Sept. 1.

After attending the amfAR Gala where he was honored with amfAR’s Award of Inspiration earlier in the day, the couple, who tied the knot in 2018, switched their look up and made their way to the Wolfs red carpet premiere.

While Gere has been on the film festival circuit as of late, he’s also celebrated a special milestone — the 25th anniversary of Runaway Bride.

Though the anniversary took place in June, while speaking at a masterclass at the 81st Venice Film Festival in September, Gere admitted that he had “no chemistry” with his costar Julia Roberts when the pair did their 1990 romantic comedy Pretty Woman.

“I mean, no chemistry,” he joked, per The Hollywood Reporter.

The film saw Gere as accomplished businessman Edward Lewis, who spent a weekend with prostitute Vivian Ward (Roberts) while on a business trip in Los Angeles.

“This actor and this actress obviously had no chemistry between them …,” he continued.

“I haven’t seen that in a long time. That’s a sexy scene,” he said, referring to a portion of the film in which he is undressing Robert’s character at a piano.

He also added that at the time, he never envisioned the success that would follow.

“This is a movie, a very small movie with a wonderful director named Garry Marshall,” Gere said. “But we were having fun making this little tiny movie. We didn’t know if anyone would ever see this little tiny movie. No one would ever pay attention to this little tiny movie.”

Pretty Woman ultimately brought in $463.4 million at the box office.

Gere's next movie, Oh, Canada, will be released on Dec. 6.
