“RHONJ” Star Frank Catania Is Engaged — and His Ex-Wife Dolores Catania 'Couldn't Be Happier'

Dolores posted a sweet message on Monday, congratulating Frank and his fiancée Brittany Mattessich on their engagement

Frank Catania is getting married again — and his ex-wife Dolores Catania is cheering the happy news.

On Monday, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 52, posted a sweet message on Instagram, congratulating her former husband on his engagement to girlfriend Brittany Mattessich.

"All u need is love and that ring “wow” 💍🤩❤️. I couldn't be happier for these two lovebirds," Dolores wrote, alongside a photo of the couple posing in front of a red rose-covered backdrop featuring the message, "Will You Marry Me?"

"Congrats on the engagement! @missbrittyann. It’s so nice to officially welcome you to the family 🥰," she continued. "Wishing u a lifetime of love, health and happiness @frank.catania.sr. Happy wife happy life."

Mattessich, 33, announced her engagement to Frank on Instagram Sunday. "We’re Engaged!!!! 💎🤍," she wrote in the caption of her post. "I’m so excited to start this next chapter with you along with all the other good things we have going on…"

She thanked Frank for making her "the happiest girl in the world."

"I wouldn’t want to do this life with anyone else other then @frank.catania.sr," she added. "Love you so much my fiancé 🤍🤍🤍."

Mattessich shared the same photo as Dolores did in her post, as well as a second shot of her and Frank kissing while she held her hand up for the camera, showing off her large diamond sparkler.

She and Frank were friends for more than a decade before their relationship turned romantic last year. They first met when he served as her trainer for her fitness competitions.

Dolores' RHONJ costars filled the comments section of Mattessich's post with messages congratulating the couple. "Omg Omg!!!! 😍😍😍," Melissa Gorga wrote, while Jackie Goldschneider cheered, "Omg YAYYY!!! Congrats lovebirds!!"

Margaret Josephs commented, "Congratulations on the happily ever after!! So thrilled for you both!! 💍🎉🥂💕💋👧🏼."

Dolores and Frank were married from 1994 to 1998 and share two children: daughter Gabrielle, 28, and son Frank Jr., 25. Over the years, Frank has made frequent appearances on his ex-wife's Bravo reality series, as the two have remained close since their divorce.

Indeed, during a 2021 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Frank declared of Dolores, "Even though we're not romantically involved, I'm still her soulmate."

Dolores later reacted to her ex-husband's comment while speaking to E! News, saying she agreed with him. However, she was quick to note that she didn't expect they would be striking up a romantic relationship again.

"Safe to say I agree with him," she told the outlet. "You know, a soulmate I don't think has to be an intimate relationship. A soulmate can be a dog, a soulmate can be a child or a best friend, and Frank is definitely my soulmate in the fact that I've done past life things and it says me and Frank have been bonded for a long time together, so I could see that."

Dolores is currently dating entrepreneur Paul "Paulie" Connell. The two met when they were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend. After keeping their romance private for several months, they went Instagram official on Valentine's Day 2022.
