A retired military dog and her former handler were reunited in North Carolina through the help of a working dog aid organization.
Mission K9 Rescue said handler Army Staff Sergeant Wil T and dog, Ffrida, had worked together in the US and in Jordan for nearly two years. The duo were separated due to reassignment, but the former handler ensured he’d be able to adopt Ffrida once she retired.
The rescue organization, whose aim is to “to rescue, reunite, re-home, rehabilitate and repair any retired working dog that has served mankind in some capacity” according to their website, said they flew Ffrida from Phoenix to North Carolina to reunite her with her owner.
