Residents Warned to Avoid Travel as Snow Falls in Reno Amid High Wind Warning

The National Weather Service in Reno warned residents to avoid travel on the north side of the city as snow fell in the early hours of December 26.

The snow hit as western Nevada was under a high wind warning, with gusts of up to 65 mph forecast.

The weather service said “damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines,” and that gusts will make travel “difficult.” Credit: NWS Reno via Storyful
