Residents Forced to Evacuate Due to Wildfire Burning in Avila, Spain

The Cebreros wildfire burning in Spain’s Avila province forced evacuations on Monday, July 18, according to local authorities.

This footage shows the fire burning along a highway near El Hoyo de Pinares early on Tuesday morning.

Residents living in the western part of El Hoyo de Pinares were evacuated due to its proximity to the Cebreros fire, the regional government said on Monday night. Shortly after, the order was extended to all 2,200 inhabitants of the town, local reports citing authorities said.
