PETALING JAYA, Oct 14 — Taiwanese Mandopop star Wang Leehom has reportedly been fined RM13,882 for illegally living in an office to be closer to his children after a divorce from his wife.

Singaporean magazine 8days reported that the singer had also carried out unapproved renovation works in the office after neighbours lodged a complaint against him.

Wang’s church friend shared with Mirror Media that the singer moved from his Taipei work studio at Jinhua Street to his office at Civic Boulevard in order to be closer to the children.

The Singaporean magazine reported that since Wang has been badly affected by his divorce from estranged wife Lee Jinglei.

After the divorce in December last year, both Wang and Lee were embroiled in a heated custody battle, with Lee accusing Wang of multiple infidelities, although she failed to produce evidence of the alleged affairs.

Another claim was that Lee had barred the singer from seeing their children.

The couple are blessed with three children — Jiali, Jiana and Jiayao.
