There's no time like August for a seaside vacation—or for planning next year's beach trip. Most of us are staying close to home this summer, but that hasn't stopped us from dreaming about those European vacations we hope to take one day again. The latest addition to our wanderlust list? Tresco, part of the British archipelago of Scilly, where Prince William and Catherine Middleton reportedly vacationed recently with their children.

The car-free, family-owned island, which is less than 30 miles off of England's Cornish coast, is accessible by airplane, helicopter, or ferry and features sandy-white beaches and turquoise waters one might expect from a Caribbean island.

Tresco is also home to plenty of sophisticated accommodations, starting with Dolphin House, the dreamy seaside home where the royal family is understood to have stayed. (A spokesperson for Tresco could not confirm where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stayed on Tresco.)

Dolphin house is open to the public for vacation rentals: Weekly rates start at £4,865 during the high season and drop to £2,230 during the low season.

Set inside a lush walled garden, the former rectory, which can accommodate up to 10 people, boasts spectacular sea views from its living areas and nearly all of its six bedrooms. A private patio at the back of the house features a grill for summer cookouts.

The summer cottage is also ideally located for exploring Tresco's landmarks, including the Abbey Garden, a sub-tropical garden that features over 20,000 plants from 80 countries, and the Valhalla Museum within the garden, which is home to shipwrecked figureheads collected across the Isles of Scilly and now part of the National Maritime collection.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's vacation was something of a homecoming for William, who visited the island as a child with Prince Charles and Princess Diana. He and Catherine also made an official visit there in 2016.
