There's another Drummond girl on the way!

Soon-to-be-grandma Ree Drummond recently announced that her eldest daughter Alex, 27, and her husband Mauricio Scott are expecting their first child. And the pair just shared the sex of their baby in an intimate reveal — which saw their Golden Retriever George play the biggest role.

“We’re having a……🤭” Alex teased in the caption of their joint Instagram post. Throughout the adorable video, Mauricio fed George a cupcake filled with either blue or pink. Once George got to the middle, the couple beamed with happiness.

“It’s a girl!” Alex exclaimed she looked at the pink frosting and kissed her husband.

“Hopefully George loves his little sister half as much as he loved those cupcakes!” she continued in the caption of the post.

Ree was overjoyed in the comments section. “Thank you God for the gift of daughters!! ❤️ We are so happy! Ladd will have her on a horse by the age of two…” wrote the Pioneer Woman star. Ree's youngest daughter Paige also commented, “Yayyyy!!! Can’t wait to meet my niece 🩷🩷🩷.”

In a Pioneer Woman blog post, Ree said she first “encouraged Alex and Mauricio not to find out the gender of their baby” but then quickly got on board and shared her ideas for the reveal.

“Once I realized they were going to find out, I encouraged them to do a gender reveal pizza rather than a more traditional method...or, as an alternative, I offered to devote five whole minutes of this Thursday's Pawhuska fireworks display to their gender reveal,” she wrote in reference to the Fourth of July.

The Food Network star joked that she “quickly learned this whole process isn’t about me." Regardless, she’s over the moon for her first born.

“To say I'm excited is an understatement! I love my daughters so much. I love the women they are becoming,” she wrote. “I love that they are boss over their younger brothers. I freaking love daughters so much.”

Ree closed out the post by saying that Alex and Mauricio will be the best girl parents.

In June, Ree opened up to PEOPLE about the big news and shared what she thought the sex of her first grandchild would be. Spoiler alert: She was wrong.

"I feel like it's a boy, but then again, I have a 50-50 chance of being right,” she said at the time.

She also spoke about her raw reaction to the initial baby news.

“Gosh, it feels totally different than I thought it would feel,” she admitted. “Since we just kind of became empty-nesters, Ladd and I feel like we just finished raising our kids — not even finished! A couple of them are in college, so we're still raising our kids.”

Alex and Scott celebrated three years of marriage on May 1. Even still, Ree said she wasn’t expecting to assume the granny role so soon.

“We weren't necessarily in a big rush to enter the grandparent stage,” Ree laughed. “I thought when I heard the news eventually, whenever that would be, that I would feel more, ‘Oh no, here it comes.’ But instead, what I think about most is — this is my honest answer — just how happy I am for my daughter and her husband.”
