“Red, White & Royal Blue” stars reveal intimacy coordinator kept a big stash of mints handy
"Smints Lord!"
Neither Nicholas Galitzine or Taylor Zakhar Perez are actually royalty or related to the President, but they are teasingly demanding when it comes to keeping things fresh on set.
During a fan event, the two stars of Red, White & Royal Blue shared stories of filming some of their more intimate scenes in the Prime Video romantic comedy, breaking down their routine to keep their breath fresh. According to Perez, their intimacy coordinator Robbie Taylor Hunt was ready to meet their needs, constantly wearing a fanny pack full of mints.

"There's a brands of mints in the U.K. called Smints," Perez told Entertainment Weekly's Gerrad Hall at the event. "Every time we were about to start to set, we would use a high voice and call Robbie: 'Robbie!' And we'd [call him] 'Smints Lord.'"
"Smints Lord was the most polite," Galitzine added. "We have a lot of affection for Robbie, I worked with him twice now, and he's really a fantastic intimacy coordinator."
Galitzine has also worked with Hunt on Starz historical drama, Mary & George. Hunt had an essential job on the series considering Galitzine shot four sex scenes with different partners on one day. But the actor's propensity for staying fresh during intimate scenes isn't unique to Hunt's approach. Galitzine also recently revealed that he now is the proud owner of a painting of Listerine Strips, a gift from Anne Hathaway after filming wrapped on The Idea of You.

"Oftentimes, our intimacy coordinator would come in and give us a Listerine strip," he explained in a British GQ video. "And we used them so much that Annie was kind enough to commission a painting of Listerine strips for me. And now I have that hanging up in my apartment."
But for the First Son and the Prince of England, Listerine strips simply weren't good enough.
"He had a fanny pack, and he'd hand [the Smints] out," Perez explained of Hunt. "But then he'd run out, and we'd get so offended. He'd say, 'I only have Listerine strips,' and we were like, 'I want the Smint.'"
Perhaps Perez and Galitzine can get as many Smints as their heart's desire while making the RWRB sequel, which was announced at the event to be in development.
