'Ready, Set, Go!': Koala Parkours Through South Australia Bushland

Bystanders would have been forgiven for mistaking this koala for a monkey as the furry creature showed off some expert tree-climbing skills in bushland on Kangaroo Island, South Australia, on November 28.

The koala was seen pouncing from its starting position at the base of a tree in Cygnet River before scaling a large tree and leaping between several branches.

“Have you ever seen a Koala climbing this fast?,” local tour group Exceptional Kangaroo Island captioned the video in a post to Facebook on December 2. Credit: Exceptional Kangaroo Island via Storyful
