New Brunswick RCMP are warning residents of southeast New Brunswick about a person carrying a firearm with "dangerous intent."

In an emergency alert issued Monday evening, RCMP said the individual was last seen in the Salisbury area. In a subsequent social media post, RCMP added the individual was also seen in the Moncton area. They did not provide a description of the suspect.

RCMP believe the person is driving a silver Ford F150, which is "mud covered."

It possibly has a Nova Scotia licence plate, numbered HDC 958.

Police are asking anyone who believes they've seen the individual to call 911 immediately.
