In a world where Raya meets K-Pop, the Malaysian ARMY – aka BTS fans – celebrated Eid by showing love for their idols on Twitter with the hashtags #RayaWithBangtan and #BringTheEidON, which garnered more than a thousand mentions on the first day of Hari Raya.
Using the hashtags, fans posted obligatory Raya selfies, well-wishes, artwork, and even photo-edited BTS members RM, Jin, SUGA, J-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, in Malay traditional attire, or Baju Melayu. The online trend began as early as May 18 when Twitter user @Berjimin posted such images with the hashtag #RayaWithBangtan. Her Twitter thread has since garnered nearly 500 retweets and more than a thousand likes. Others have since flooded the social media platform with their own iterations.

The 7-Eleven convenience stores in Malaysia are also jumping on the BTS bandwagon with the launch of bottled coffees printed with images of the K-pop group’s members. This got some fans even more excited.
“BTS DAH MASUK 7E. RM 11.90 SAHAJA!!! (BTS is available in 7E. Only for MYR 11.90!!!)” Twitter user @Qianxing_ said. Her post has garnered 6.4K retweets and 9.3k likes as of today.
The coffee cups are only available in Peninsular Malaysia.
