Ratings: ‘Good Girls’ Has a Bad Season 3 Premiere, Fox’s ‘Duncanville’ Debut Isn’t Much Better

Fox debuted new animated comedy “Duncanville” on Sunday, and it was nothing to write home to Duncanville about. Also disappointing was NBC’s “Good Girls” Season 3 start and the time period premiere of “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist.”

Yeah, NBC had a real bad evening — but at least half of its schedule was repeats. Plus, last night was part of a holiday weekend.

Performing far better was ABC’s “American Idol” season premiere, which carried the Disney-owned broadcast channel to a first place finish in the key demo. CBS was able to finish first in total-viewer averages, however, besting ABC’s primetime by just 18,000 audience members.

From 8 to 10, “Idol” posted a 1.5 and 8 million viewers. A rerun followed.

Fox was second in ratings with a 0.6, but fourth in viewers with 1.7 million. Following repeats, “The Simpsons” at 8 got a 0.7 and 2 million viewers. The series premiere of “Duncanville” at 8:30 managed a 0.5 and 1.5 million viewers. “Bob’s Burgers” in a new 9 o’clock time slot had a 0.6 and 1.5 million viewers. “Family Guy” at 9:30 had a 0.6 and 1.6 million viewers.

CBS was third in ratings with a 0.5 and first in viewers with 6.169 million. At 7, “60 Minutes” received a 0.6 and 8.1 million viewers. “God Friended Me” at 8 settled for a 0.4 and 5.4 million viewers. At 9, “NCIS: Los Angeles” had a 0.6 and 6 million viewers. NBC was fourth in ratings with a 0.4 and third in viewers with 2 million. Following reruns, the “Zoey” time period premiere settled for a 0.4 and 2 million viewers. The “Good Girls” Season 3 premiere at 10 matched those soft Nielsen numbers.

The CW was fifth in ratings with a 0.2 and in viewers with 763,000. “Batwoman” at 8 had a 0.2 and 859,000 viewers. “Supergirl” at 9 got a 0.2 and 668,000 viewers.

Due to the holiday, we do not have ratings for Univision and Telemundo.
