Rare freezing rain phenomenon seen in northern China after heavy snow

A rare freezing rain phenomenon was seen in northern China after recent heavy snowfall. Video filmed in the city of Harbin in Heilongjiang Province on November 8 shows ice formations coating the branches on trees. Since the trees could not bear the weight of the ice casing, some of them fell down and hit the vehicles parked under them. The city has upgraded the level III warning for blizzard to level II. The video was provided by local media with permission.
