Rainwater Covers Steps as Storm Causes Flooding in San Francisco Bay Area

Heavy rains brought on by an atmospheric river caused flooding in the San Francisco Bay Area on Thursday, March 9.

A winter storm bringing heavy rain and snow hit the state on Thursday evening, and would continue to batter the region on Friday, according to the National Weather Service. Flooding, caused by heavy rains and snowmelt, was also expected.

This was the latest in a string of storms to hit California this season.
