Rain and wind lashed coastal communities in southwest Florida on Monday, August 24, as storms Marco and Laura moved into the Gulf of Mexico, weather reports said.
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) said both Marco and Laura could bring “heavy” rain and flash flooding to communities along the Gulf Coast.
This video, posted by Jared Heil on Monday, shows gusts of wind shaking palm trees. Heil said the footage was filmed in Isles of Capri, an island community on Florida’s southwest coast.
Marco has weakened to a post-tropical cyclone, and is located near southern Louisiana.
