RACIAL DIVERSITY WORKABLE BUT NOT QUITE ENOUGH FOR PROSPERITY - EPF CEO

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 22 (Bernama) -- The diversity between races in Malaysia has been workable but much remains to be done towards a prosperous Malaysia, says Employees Provident Fund (EPF) chief executive officer, Tunku Alizakri Alias.

"I've always believed in Malaysia because of its people. We've been able to come up with something that has been workable; it's a solution that still needs a lot of work. But anything that is worthwhile to do always requires a lot of work," he told reporters when met.

He earlier delivered his closing remarks at the eighth International Social Well-being Conference 2019 (ISWC 2019).

On ISWC 2019, Alizakri described it as the right forum where participants were able to discuss openly, sincerely on what needed to be done.

"What we aim to see is the action that comes after the conference and that's what I'm looking forward to," he said.

With the theme 'Shaping Destiny - Between Hope and Extinction', ISWC 2019 covered numerous topics including real-world challenges, trust economy, talent strategies and ageing populations.
