Snow White could never.
After burning down the place in her Katniss Everdeen-inspired fit-and-literal-flare fire dress, Rachel Zegler has done it again — only this time, she's taking a colder approach. On Thursday, the actress attended the world premiere of The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes in London wearing an ornate lacy black dress from Christian Dior.
The gothic frock featured a high neckline and no sleeves while the see-through lace bodice was embellished with intricate designs. The floor-skimming skirt was comprised of a similarly sheer material, and when she picked up the frock to walk, she showed off her ankle-breaking black platform heels.
Zegler accessorized with white-and-yellow diamond drop earrings and a ring aptly adorned with a diamond snake, both Chopard. Her dark hair was styled in long, loose curls and the top portion of her tresses were pinned straight back on top of her head. For her glam, Zegler opted for a smoky winged liner and peachy lips.
During the event, Zegler posed alongside her co-stars Tom Blyth, Hunter Schafer, and Josh Andres Rivera (her boyfriend, who also starred alongside her in Steven Spielberg's West Side Story). Euphoria's Schafer, who plays Tigris Snow in the prequel, looked radiant in a blinding metallic gold look comprised of a bra top, bolero, and maxiskirt. Rivera (Sejanus Plinth) also chose to match the film's signature gold mocking jay logo in a muted matte bronze suit. Blyth, who portrays a young President Snow, fittingly wore a white blazer and button-up with black trousers.
According to Deadline, the Francis Lawrence-directed prequel to the original Hunger Games series "takes place 64 years before Katniss Everdeen volunteered as tribute, and decades before Coriolanus Snow became the tyrannical president of Panem." Peter Dinklage, Jason Schwartzman, and Viola Davis also star in the movie, which hits U.S. theaters on Nov. 17.
