A mural in Sydney featuring former Australian Prime Minister Bob Hawke was painted to encourage people to get vaccinated against COVID-19 amid the state’s worst outbreak of the virus.
The artwork by local street artist Scott Marsh features Hawke filling a beer glass with percentage markers. The mural would be updated to fill the beer glass as vaccination totals increased, according to Marsh. “Every jab,” it says, “gets us closer to the pub.”
