'Quick-Thinking' Sacramento Police Officers Prevent Boy From Choking

Three police officers have been commended for their “quick-thinking” actions after they prevented a young boy from choking at a residence in Sacramento on Monday, June 22.

Footage released by police shows officers run toward a home in south Sacramento and use life-saving measures on the unresponsive boy. One of the officers swept the boy’s mouth, which removed an object causing him to choke.

Officers continued to help the boy until the fire department arrived to relieve them, police said.
